April 2011 -- My Inky Waters image of Mono Lake was chosen as a finalist in Outdoor Photographer's 2nd Annual Great Outdoors Photo Contest. Mono Lake is a saltwater lake in Mono County, California in the lower elevations of the Eastern Sierra-Nevada Mountain Range. Known for its tufa formations which formed from fresh ground water seeps and have since been exposed as lake levels dropped.
